One of the must visit places near Ulaanbaatar is DAY TRIP TO ‘’CHINGGIS KHAAN STATUE COMPLEX’’
The legendary man Chinggis Khaan or Genghis Khan was born in north east of Mongolia around 1162. At 20, he began building a large army with the intent to destroy individual tribes in Northeast Asia and unite them under his rule. He was successful; the Mongol Empire was the largest empire in the world before the British Empire, and lasted well over 200 years after his own death in 1227. The statue of Chinggis Khaan originally named as Golden Whip- part of the reason is he had found whip there the exactly same spot where the statue itself standing. Still today among Mongols, if we find a whip- we do appreciate for that because it brings a good fortune.

DAY TRIP TO CHINGGIS KHAAN COMPLEX
9.00a.m Pick you up from your stay and travel to ‘’Golden Whip’’ statute which well known as Chinggis khaan`s complex.
You will pass through Nalaikh district where former Russian army base used to settle down for decades during the socialist system before 1990`s.
This is 44metres in height and made of stainless steel horseman statue that looking at his birth land north east of the country and visit to the ancient Mongolian museum at the bottom of complex.
11.00a.m Travel to Terelj National Park - the area is cool and the alpine scenery is magnificent, and there are great opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, swimming (in icy water), rafting, and horse riding and, for hard-core extreme sports fanatics, skiing in the depths of winter.
13.00p.m Have a lunch one of the finest Ger camp`s restaurant in the park. In the afternoon, to visit Turtle rock formation and Aryapala meditation temple.
16.00p.m Travel back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your stay.
